High Efficiency Spirax Sarco FT14 FT44 TD42 Industrial Boiler Pipeline Use Steam Trap
The orange ball float traps you see on every steam main and heat exchanger in refineries and chemical plants
Everyone has tried the cheap Chinese copies – they stick closed after six months and flood the steam line. The Spirax FT14 (cast iron) and FT44 (carbon/stainless steel) just keep working. The big stainless ball float never hangs up, the air vent is a proper bimetallic ring that actually opens when cold, and the whole thing is built like a tank. Most plants pull them out after 12–18 years only because the gasket finally leaks, not because the trap failed.
- Big stainless steel ball float – no sticking, no water hammer
- Real thermostatic air vent – blasts air out on start-up
- In-line repairable – change seat and float in 20 minutes
- FT44 has stainless body – no rust even on outdoor lines
- Works in any position – horizontal or vertical
- Handles up to 32 bar and 300 °C
