The SAMSON Type 6493 is a purely pneumatic differential pressure controller that operates without any electrical power. It uses a diaphragm measuring system and force-balance principle to maintain a constant differential pressure by producing a pneumatic control signal. This model is still widely used in plants with legacy pneumatic instrumentation or where explosion-proof, non-electric control is required.
