Product Overview
The Tissin TS900 and TS905 Smart Valve Positioners are electro-pneumatic valve positioners designed to control the stroke of pneumatic control valves according to a 4–20 mA DC input signal.
The positioner receives the control signal from a control system, DCS or signal source and adjusts the air pressure supplied to the valve actuator. This allows the actuator and valve to follow the required input position.
The TS900 and TS905 share the same main control specifications. The main structural difference is the housing material. TS900 uses an aluminum die-cast body, while TS905 uses stainless steel 316. The TS905 version is therefore suited to projects where a stainless-steel housing is required.
The series includes an LCD display and four local buttons for setup and operation. Auto calibration, partial stroke testing, alarm functions and an Auto/Manual switch are included in the product design. The positioner also uses a large-flow pilot valve to support faster valve response.

Common Problems
Positioner Does Not Respond to the 4–20 mA Signal
Check the input wiring and loop current first. The positioner requires a 4–20 mA DC input signal, so the signal source and wiring should be checked before mechanical troubleshooting.
Valve Position Is Not Correct
Check the actuator linkage, feedback lever and calibration settings. Incorrect mechanical installation or calibration can affect the relationship between the input signal and valve position.
Air Output Is Not Sufficient
Check the instrument air supply pressure and air quality. The specified supply pressure is 0.14–0.7 MPa and the required air quality is Class 3 according to ISO 8573-1.
Valve Response Is Slow
Check the air supply, actuator condition and pneumatic connections. The positioner uses a large-flow pilot valve, but the overall response also depends on the actuator, valve and air system.
HART Function Is Not Available
HART is an optional configuration. If HART communication is required, confirm that the supplied positioner is the HART version before installation.
Replacement Models
For replacement projects, the TS900 and TS905 can be considered for pneumatic control valve positioner applications where the required signal, air supply, stroke and mounting arrangement are compatible.
The two models should not be treated as identical mechanical replacements in every application. TS900 uses an aluminum die-cast body, while TS905 uses stainless steel 316.
