OM5 is a wideband multimode fibre, identifiable by a lime green outer jacket on duplex fibre cables.It has many of the same characteristics of OM4, including the same EMB value and distance limitations for 10GB, 40GB, and 100GB Ethernet. OM5 is intended for data centres and high speed applications that require shortwave division multiplexing (SWDM).
