ABB TPS48 Turbocharger Complete is a new series of turbocharger developed by ABB company in recent

years and successfully matched with Wartsila 4L20 auxiliary engine.The supercharge tatio of this ABB TPS48-

F32 With DNV Certification Testing Balanced Warranty in normal working area is 4.3-4.7 (π C). The turbine

efficiency (η TC) can reach above 65%. The air flow rate is 0.9-1.6 m3 / s and the maximum speed can reach

nmmax = 1046 R / S (62760rpm) at 110% load of auxiliary engine. The maximum working temperature (before

turbine) tmmax = 650 ℃, and the speed can reach nbmax = 993 R / S (59580 RPM) at full load of auxiliary eng-

ine. The maximum allowable working temperature (before the turbine) tbmax = 620 ℃. The auxiliary engine

system oil is used for the lubrication and cooling of the turbocharger bearing. The lubricating oil filter required

to be used is less than 34um, the lubricating oil pressure is required to be between 2-4.5bar during operation,

and at least 0.3bar lubricating oil pressure (i.e. pre lubrication pressure) is required during startup. Exhaust gas

turbine and compressor impeller can be washed with water.
