3. How Do a Fire Blanket Application:
It is important to remember that the use of fire blankets is only effective in the event of a small fire.
- Shut off all gas/electricity supplies that may cause a fire. For example, the gas on the stove.
- Cover the fire source completely with a fire blanket to ensure that no oxygen enters the fire source. The working principle of the fire blanket is to separate the fire from the oxygen, thereby destroying the chemical process required by the fire.
- When using a fire blanket, please roll up your sleeves to avoid fire. Also, make sure to wrap the top of the blanket around your hands to avoid burns.

All fire blankets must be placed in an easily accessible location.
