The companion flange is a sort of wellhead flange adapter conformed with API 6A specification, it is also named threaded flange. The companion flange is used to correspond to another flange and having bolt holes that align with another flange is a trait of this type of flange. The companion flange is applied for pipelines, a plumbing system and wellhead christmas tree, it is attached to the flange of another pipe,then they are assembled together and fit tightly between the two flange, and the threaded end is used ona plastic pipe when adding a threaded iron pipe into the pipeline. The companion flanges are available in sizes from 1-13/16" to 26-3/4" and working pressure up to 20000PSI.
