Proper startup is critical to prevent membrane damage and maintain system parameters within design specifications. Before operation:
- Complete membrane preconditioning and module installation per technical manual
- Calibrate all instrumentation and perform system checks
- Flush the UF system thoroughly to eliminate shipping solution
- Purge residual air from the system
- Start manually at 60% of design capacity
Note: NSF/ANSI 61 certified modules require specific conditioning procedures for potable water production. Check local regulations before use.
