Sometimes there is a misunderstanding that more optical fibers means more insertion loss. This misunderstanding lying on MPO patch cord is that the insertion loss of the 24F MPO patch cord is larger than that of the 12F MPO patch cord. Actually the insertion loss of both fiber counts connector is almost no difference if the ferrule is polished properly.
24F MPO connector ferrule has 2X12F fiber array. 1X12F is used for the transmission of optic and another 12F is used for the receiving. The middle 10F of each array are filled with optical fibers and the rest 2F are blank. This kind of fiber arrangement is determined by the 100G transceiver.

MTP, developed and manufactured by the American connectivity specialist US Conec, is a kind of high performance MPO connector with multiple innovative design. So its cost is higher than MPO connector. But there are still some cost-effective choices, such as Senko, Nissin, EZconn, FIEL brand MPO connectors.
 
2. Q: What's your average lead time?
    A: Our lead time is controlled within 5 working days for the regular products. For the MT products, our capacity is 3000 connectors per day.
