Product Description

T- TPS52 Turbo Silencer For Turbocharger Spare Parts Maintenance Replacement

T- TPS series exhaust gas turbocharger features:

T- TPS52 turob silencer (also called filter silencer, whispering silencer and air outlet silencer) belongs to one part of  T- TPS series exhaust gas turbocharger with the features as below:

  1. It consists of single stage mixed-flow turbine, centrifugal compressor, external engine lubricating oil system.
  2. it can be matched with high-speed diesel engine and gas engine of 500-3000kw.
  3. cooled & uncooled bearing casing design.
  4. The constant pressure mixed turbine is used to increase the volume flow through the nozzle ring with the pulse application.
  5. The compressor wheel adopts after sloping shunt blades and provide three different periods of pressure.
  6. The overall efficiency of turbocharger is 62%-64%, the maximum pressure ratio is 4.5.
  7. It is compact structure, easy to maintain and widely used in marine main engines, marine auxiliary machines, generating sets, railway locomotives and other application areas of diesel engines.

T- TPS52 turob silencer (filter silencer, whispering silencer or air outlet silencer) function:

As all knew, turbochargers have been extensively used in diesel engines to improve their perforce. However, due to their operation at high speeds, turbochargers are susceptible to noise generation such as whine (narrow band) and whoosh (broadband). While unbalanced blades contribute to the former, the latter is due to turbulence. Such noise can be radiated from the structure, especially from the duct segment between the compressor and intercooler. The characteristics of turbocharger noise have been addressed that the compressor outlet was a major contributor to the overall intake system noise and experimentally demonstrated the effectiveness of a thicker wall and a resonator to reduce turbocharger noise that is a silencer could reduce both whine and broadband noise.
