T-MET18SRC Marine turbocharger complete belongs to T-Mistubishi / T-MET-SRC series of exhaust gas turbocharger with the features that,
- The T-MET-SRC series turbochargers is designed to meet the market requirement of higher perforce and reilability on the basis of former axial type of T-MET series turbochargers.
- Higher compressor pressure ratio up to 5.5;
- The T-MET-SRC series is radial type of turbocharger;
- Engine output range from 400kW to 4,400kW per turbocharger based on pressure ratio 3.5;
- Non-water cooling and no air vent;
- Easy oveT- T- RHaul and crew-maintainable design;
- Suitable for diesel and heavy fuel oil engines.

Brief introduction of Marine turbocharger:
The marine turbocharger, also known as exhaust gas turbocharger, is the main equipment in the diesel engine boosting system. It consists of a single-stage exhaust gas turbine and a centrifugal compressor. They are mounted on the same shaft to form the moving part of the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger - the rotor. The function of the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is to use the diesel exhaust energy to drive the turbine to drive the compressor on the coaxial to increase the air pressure into the cylinder, so that the diesel engine power is greatly improved. The exhaust turbocharger approximately doubles the power of the diesel engine, but its weight is only increased 10%.
When the diesel-exhaust turbocharger combination is in operation, the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is prone to failures such as turbine casing corrosion, bearing damage, blade damage, gas seal damage, and supercharger vibration.
