Applications

calcium stearate White powder, insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, benzene, toluene, turpentine, and other organic solvents; encounter acid decomposed into stearic acid and salt; a fire in a dry condition moisture absorption.

It has a wide range of uses, such as stabilizer; lubricant; paint leveling agent; lubricants from pencil lead; plastic mold release agent; building waterproofing agent; thickener for lubricating oil, halogen absorbent for polypropylene and polyethylene.
