Lead stearate is a white powder, insoluble in water, soluble in hot ethanol, benzene, and turpentine. It is heated and dissolved in an organic solvent and then becomes a gel after cooling. It will decompose into stearic acid and corresponding salt when it meets strong acid. It is hygroscopic. It can be used in various opaque hard and soft PVC products, such as hard tubes, hard plates, thin plates, films, and artificial leather. It is especially suitable for wires. The cable material can give the product excellent electrical properties.
