AKD emulsion is a reactive neutral sizing agent used in neutral paper manufacturing processes. This specialized chemical enhances paper's water resistance and acid/alkaline liquor soak capabilities while improving physical properties. It's widely used in producing various paper types including art base paper, electrostatic autographic transfer paper, and archival paper.

• Add directly to thick pulp or mix chest after dilution
• Can be applied in tub-sizing after paper layer drying
• Normal sizing: 0.1% to 0.2% of absolute dry pulp
• Heavy sizing: 0.3% to 0.4% of absolute dry pulp
• Requires double-retention system with cationic starch and polyacrylamide
• Maintain pulp pH between 8.0 and 8.5
