What is an Ashing Muffle Furnace ?
The purpose of an ashing muffle furnace is to burn off or “ash” organic material from a sample. This process involves subjecting the sample to high temperatures, usually ranging from 500 to 1200 degrees Celsius, in order to completely combust the organic materials, leaving behind only the inorganic residue.
