Main function: Used for cold rolling strip in the high precision and good quality
Components: Uncoiler, hydraulic coil car and unload car, accumulator,entrance and exit platform, rolling mill, left and right recoiler, joint gear box, hydraulic AGC, bending roil system, driving motor, electric control system, lubrication system etc.
6-Hi Mill Stand Configuration:
Superior Flatness Control: The six-roll stack (1 Work Roll + 2 Intermediate Rolls + 3 Backup Rolls per side) significantly minimizes work roll deflection, ensuring exceptional strip flatness across the entire width, especially for harder materials or wider strips.
Intermediate Roll Flexibility: Intermediate rolls can often be axially shifted (AS-U, AS-U/I) to actively control the pressure distribution across the strip width, further optimizing profile and flatness.
Reduced Work Roll Diameter: Smaller work rolls enable higher reductions per pass and finer surface finishes.
Reversible Operation:
Single-Stand Efficiency: The strip passes back and forth through the same mill stand multiple times, achieving the desired final thickness incrementally. This eliminates the need for multiple stands.
Process Flexibility: Enables flexible scheduling for various alloys, widths, and target thicknesses without complex threading. Ideal for smaller batch sizes.
cessing: Typically processes single coils at a time, with recoilers on both sides of the mill stand.
