• Durability: Highly impact-resistant. It won't break if dropped, making it safer for use in bathrooms and by children.

• Cost-Effective: Generally cheaper to manufacture and ship than glass, which can lower the product's final cost.

• Design Flexibility: Plastic can be easily molded into a vast array of shapes, colors, and transparencies. It can be opaque, transparent, or tinted.

  Disadvantages and Considerations

  • Perceived Quality: Glass is often associated with luxury, heritage, and premium quality in the fragrance world. Plastic can sometimes feel less premium to consumers.

  • Chemical Compatibility: While PET is excellent for most fragrances, the high alcohol content in perfumes can interact with certain types of plastic over very long periods, potentially causing clouding or degradation. This is why material selection (PET/PETG) is critical.
