Selecting the Right Bottle

• For long-term storage of a single oil, always use a dark glass bottle (amber is most common).

• For blending, use a new, clean dark glass bottle of the appropriate size for your blend.

• For carrying a roll-on blend, use a dark glass bottle with a stainless steel rollerball attachment.

Opening and Dispensing

• Most bottles have a dropper cap assembly. This consists of:

  • A plastic screw cap.

  • A dropper insert (a rubber bulb and glass or plastic tube).

  • An orifice reducer (a small, clear plastic piece that fits in the bottle neck and controls the flow).

• To dispense, simply hold the bottle upright and squeeze the bulb gently. For an orifice reducer, you invert the bottle and tap it lightly.
