Materials: Why Glass is King

• Amber or Cobalt Blue Glass: This is the gold standard.

  • Non-Reactive: Glass does not interact with the potent chemical compounds in essential oils.

  • UV Protection: The dark colors prevent light from degrading the oil.

  • Pure & Impermeable: It won't leach chemicals and creates a perfect barrier.

• Why Plastic is a Problem:

  • Reactivity: Essential oils are potent solvents. They can degrade plastic, causing it to melt or leach harmful chemicals (like phthalates and BPA) into your oil.

  • Permeability: Over time, the volatile aromatic molecules can evaporate right through the plastic walls, ruining your oil and its therapeutic properties.
