Description of Gabion Basket
Gabion Basket (Boxes) are made of hexagonal Galvanized/PVC/Zinc-Al double-twised mild steel wire mesh.
Gabion baskets can be supplied in various lengths, widths and heights. In order to strengthen the baskets, all the edges of the structure shall be selvedged thicker wire diameter.
These Gabion boxes are filled with natural stones at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures such as Retaining walls, sea walls, channel lining, revetments, and wires for erosion control projects.

Also it can be made into basket, mesh mat for protecting dam which easily ruined by flood and lead to property losses. Therefore, application of gabion basket is the best solution of solving the problem that give dams lasting protection.
Welded gabion box is manufactured from cold steel wire with high tensile strength. It is electrically welded together then hot dipped galvanized or PVC coated, ensuring a longer life. There are galvanized welded gabions and PVC welded gabions. Welded Gabion box is designed on the principle of mass earth retaining wall. The strength of the wire mesh helps to stand the forces generated by the retained soil.
