Metal Tower Packing Description
Metal structured packing is formed from thin corrugated metallic plates or wire gauze, which at uniform geometry arranged and neatly piled in the tower. Metal structured packing is widely used in absorption and distillation columns and chemical reactors. It has large surface area, low pressure drop, uniform fluids, heat and mass transfer efficiency and other advantages.
Metal Wire Gauze Packing is characteristic of good low-load properties, large number of plates per meter in theory, and the number of plates will decrease with gas load increasing. The packing can meet the demand for accurate, large-scale, high vacuum distilling apparatus, and provide convenient conditions for distilling separation of some system difficult for separating, heat-variable system and high-purity products.
Metal Tower packings is assembled by rolling small profile and bellows in metallic sheet surface. With the advantages of low resistance, uniform distribution of gas-liquid, high efficiency, big flux, not obvious enlarging effect, it is applied to vacuum or pressure operation.
