Asphalt tanks incorporate internal heat transfer coils heated by the electric tubes and are ideal where electric supplies are available .
Being easier for transportation and requiring usually only a single crane to install, horizontal electric heated asphalt tanks are generally the preferred tanks as the supporting equipment for asphalt mixing plant.
Asphalt storage tank components
Electric heating asphalt tank is mainly composed of tank body, rock wool insulation layer, electric heater, asphalt thermometer, asphalt temperature sensor, asphalt level gauge, pressure level sensor, top manhole, asphalt inlet and outlet, ladder guardrails, electric control box and so on.
Two options
option 1, electric heater heating thermal oil, avoiding asphalt aging by indirect heating.
option 2, electric heater heating asphalt directly, saving cost with lower price.
