Product Description
Pipe-based well screens are specifically designed for deep water well and oil field applications, primarily for sand control in high-pressure environments with significant traction values due to the depths involved. These screens are composed of three main components: a base pipe, an all-welded wedge wire screen, and supporting rods.
The base pipe, which can be constructed from either stainless steel or carbon steel API 5CT casing, is typically perforated or slotted. The all-welded wedge wire screens are securely attached to the base pipe using supporting rods. This configuration, where the API casing is enclosed within a wire wrap screen jacket, not only supports the screen but also enhances its capabilities and high tensile strength under load.
The pipe base can be fabricated from API seamless casing, spiral casing, or stainless steel casing. The base pipe features an opening area of up to 15%, while the jacket can have an opening area of up to 30%. The slot size of the jacket ranges from 0.15mm to 3mm, ensuring effective filtration and durability in demanding conditions.
