DIN 6797 DIN 6798 Reusable Tooth Lock Washer Star Washer M3-M20
These star washers (tooth lock washers) secure threaded joints purely by mechanical action: the serrated teeth bite into the mating surface and the bolt head, so the fastener resists vibration loosening without any thread-locking adhesive. Because the teeth do not cut into the thread itself, the washer can be removed and refitted again and again without damaging the bolt.
Unlike chemical thread lockers, these washers leave no residue and can be reused through repeated service intervals. Supplied as both external tooth DIN 6797 and internal tooth DIN 6798 types, and additionally to ASME B18.21.1, they cover metric and imperial assemblies from a single source.
