Carbon Steel Material P245GH PN25 Raised Face Slip-On Type 12/B Pipe Flange As per EN1092-1

The slip-on flange can work well after attaching to the end of a pipe or pipe fitting. The product is fit in easily, or the end of the pipe is set back easily by the thickness of the pipe wall plus 1/8 of an inch. It allows easy installation without putting effort and damaging to the flange face. Slip-on Flanges are at the low cost end of the scale, and do not require high accuracy when cutting the pipe to length. These SO Flanges can sometimes have a boss or hub, and can be made with a bore to suit either pipe or tube. Slip-on flanges, also known as ‘ hubbed flanges ’, have a hub with a very low profile. This type of flange is usually connected to a pipe by one or two fillet welds (one outside the flange and one inside the flange), it is however possible to use only a single weld.

The flange face is the surface area that hosts the gasket. The 6 available types of flange face are flat (FF), raised (RF), ring joint (RTJ), lap joint, male and female (M&F), tongue and groove (T&G). Flanges with different faces require different gaskets and shall never be mated to prevent leakage of the joint. RF and FF flanges may have different types of “finish” (i.e. roughness on top the surface): smooth, stock and serrated.
