The slitting production line consists of three main parts: decoiler, slitter and rewinder. The material is fed from the uncoiler through the nip between the two circular cutting wheels (one at the top and the other below), and then re-wound in the slit covering on the recoiler. The equipment supplier and the end user must work together, so the appropriate components, shank size, tool kit, horsepower and tension are suitable for the material to be cut.
