A whip check is a safety cable used during an abrasive blasting process. Whip checks connects air hoses across the coupling to prevent the hoses from flying around if the connection inadvertently separates.
A whip check's primary purpose is to keep the pressurized hose on one place if any decoupling occurs between the hose mouth and jet nozzle and therefore prevent accidents at the workplace.

These are designed for 1-1/2" to 3" air hose and are approximately 38" long.
