Installation
While specific installation methods for artificial grass depend upon the brand selected, several steps are applicable for all turf. Before you install synthetic turf, you will need to ensure that you have accurately measured the area you wish to cover. Determine how much turf you will need to cover your intended area, and prepare for the possibility that pre-cut sections may need to be adjusted in order to fit your diagram. Make certain to include measurements of borders, edgings, and curbs that may be present. Be sure to clear the area that will be treated by removing debris, rocks, grass, roots, mulch, and anything else that would pose a hazard to the turf. After the area is cleared, the ground is covered with a base and compacted, and then the turf is installed. After the turf is set in place, the perimeter is secured and a layer of infill is applied.
