This oxide layer can be upgraded through a warmth treating process. An appropriately framed upgraded oxide layer serves as a fabulous bearing surface against an assortment of materials, imparts impressive erosion resistance in high velocity systems and can improve the corrosion restance in certain aggressive environments.This protective oxide gives Zirconium alloys their superior corrosion resistance.
