Zirconium Metal Round Rod is one of the heavy metals and is assigned to the titanium group. It has a very high resistance to corrosion, good flexibility and is relatively soft. Zirconium can be rolled, forged and hammered well. It's a poor conductor of electricity, but a relatively good conductor of heat. At high temperatures, zirconium reacts with most non-metals. It is stable in air as a result of passivation.
The zirconium alloy is a solid solution of zirconium or other metals. Zirconium has a very low thermal neutron absorption cross section, high hardness, ductility and corrosion resistance. The main use of zirconium alloys is in the field of nuclear technology, such as fuel rods in nuclear reactors.
