Zirconium alloy pipeline is a highly corrosion-resistant metal, suitable for chemical corrosion-resistant equipment. Its acid resistance is better than titanium and various steels, and is similar to tantalum. Zirconium is also very stable in alkaline solutions. Zirconium is completely resistant to alkali solutions and molten alkalis. The corrosion resistance of zirconium in sodium hydroxide medium is the same as that of nickel. Because zirconium has excellent corrosion resistance, it is much better than tantalum and precious metals in many cases. In addition, zirconium also has good mechanical properties and high temperature resistance.

APPLICATIONS
Zirconium alloy pipeline is an alloy tube material made of zirconium and other metals. Due to its excellent nuclear corrosion resistance, zirconium alloy tubes have been widely used in nuclear fuel assemblies and water-cooled reactor core structures. Pure zirconium tubes are mainly used to manufacture chemical equipment.
FEATURES of ZIRCONIUM
Zirconium and gas have strong affinity. They react with oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen at about 200, 300 and 400 ℃ respectively. The reaction is rapid at higher temperature. Therefore, the melting and heat treatment should be carried out in vacuum furnace. When heat processing is carried out in the atmosphere, proper protection measures shall be taken and the operation time under high temperature shall be shortened.
