WNiFe WNiCu Grounded Heavy Tungsten Alloy Bar ASTM B777
WNiFe WNiCu Grounded Heavy Tungsten Alloy Bar ASTM B777
Heavy Tungsten Alloy Bar is based on tungsten (tungsten content is generally 80% ~ 98%), adding a small amount of nickel, iron, copper, cobalt, molybdenum, chromium and other elements of the alloy material. The density of high specific gravity tungsten alloy is up to 15.20~18.70g/cm3, also known as high specific gravity tungsten alloy or high density alloy material. Because tungsten alloys weigh more than twice as much as steel.

What is Heavy Tungsten Alloy Pipes?
Heavy tungsten alloy is mainly divided into two series: W-Ni-Fe and W-Ni-Cu, and even W-Ni-Fe-Cu. In contrast, W-Ni-Fe alloy has good mechanical properties and plays an important role in various fields of national defense industry and national economy. It is a very important new military material in national defense industry and has been gradually promoted to various civil industries.
The tungsten content in tungsten alloys varies between 90% and 98%, which is responsible for their high density (16.5 to 19.00 g/cc). Nickel, iron and/or copper are used as metal adhesive substrates to hold brittle tungsten particles together, making the tungsten alloy ductile and easy to work. Ferric nickel-nickel is the most commonly used additive with a ratio of 7Ni:3Fe or 8Ni:2Fe (by weight).
Application of Heavy Tungsten Alloy Bar
The United States has developed a 97W-2.1Ni-0.9Fe alloy with an 80-gram warhead that can penetrate an inch thick military steel plate at a limit speed of 3,580 ft/s.
