Heavy Tungsten Alloy Screw For Spare Parts Corrosion Resistance
Heavy Tungsten Alloy Screw For Spare Parts
Heavy Tungsten Alloy Screw is kind of heavy tungsten alloys because they are more than twice as heavy as steel. High specific gravity tungsten alloys are usually refractory metals containing W-nickel-iron, W-nickel-copper, or even W-nickel-copper-iron complexes. Some tungsten alloys have rare earths and/or other metals such as cobalt, molybdenum, and chromium added. Heavy tungsten alloy has a high melting point, twice the density of steel, and is more than 50% heavier than lead.

What is Tungsten Alloy Screw?
- Heavy tungsten alloys are mainly divided into W nickel iron, W nickel copper, and even W nickel iron copper series. In contrast, West Nickel-Fe alloy has better mechanical properties and plays an important role in the defense industry and various fields of the national economy. It is a very important new military material in the national defense industry, and has gradually expanded to various civilian industries.
- Heavy tungsten alloy contains 90-98% tungsten, which is its high density (16.5-19.00g/CC). Nickel, iron and/or copper are used as metal binder bases to hold the fragile tungsten particles together, making the tungsten alloy tough and easy to work with. Iron-nickel is the most commonly used additive in a ratio of 7Ni:3Fe or 8Ni:2Fe (by weight).
Application of Tungsten Alloy Screw
-
High density: The density of tungsten alloy is 18.5g/cm3, which is much smaller than other materials of the same mass.
-
Corrosion resistance: The chemical properties of tungsten alloys are stable and will not react with any substances at room temperature. If it is iron, it is easily oxidized.
-
High hardness: The hardness of tungsten alloy is second only to diamond, and the hardness is quite high. The fishing extender will inevitably collide with hard objects during use. The high hardness material can make the salvage countersunk head not easy to break and deform.
