It involves spraying a fine mist of coolant or oil onto the underside of the pistons through dedicated nozzles. The primary purpose of nozzle piston cooling is to manage the heat generated by the combustion process within the engine. By spraying a coolant or oil mixture onto the underside of the pistons, it helps to extract heat and maintain the piston temperatures within an acceptable range.
