U Beam Electron Beam Welding Process with Hydraulic System
1. Introduction
This machine is used for the assembly of U-beam&Box-beam. Place the plates on the bracket with auxiliary centering device. Motor drives gantry to travel; and the upper press cylinder and side press cylinder press the plates to finish the assembly and tack welding.

3. Working principle
The machine is mainly used for U-beam and box-beam assembly during production of U- beam/box-beam bay. Work-piece is put on the conveyor with assistant alignment unit. Motor drives gantry into working area. With down-stroke cylinder and side-stroke cylinder on the travel gantry, the web and flange of work-piece are pressed, and spot-welded will be performed on the pressed section. Via travel of gantry, manual spot-weld is carried out along the whole length of work-piece.
4. Main features
The standard models of our U-beam&Box-beam assembly machines have the following features:
- Gantry is the main body of machine. All the clamping devices are arranged on the gantry.
- Two motors via worm and gear reducer to drive two wheels travel along the rail.
- Rail is 38KG/m heavy duty rail.
- All motion parts have lubrication system;
- Main electric elements are ABB/Siemens/Schneider brands;
