OPGW Aeolian 2.5kg Stockbridge Vibration Damper Preformed Fittings
Vibration damper
Vibration Damper is designed to control high frequency aeolian vibration and is suitable for operation within an energized electric fild. They are supplied complete with a set of line guards for direct installation over the OPGW or ADSS or with a specific sized clamp for installation over the armour rods of suspension and dead end fittings.
The degree of protection needed on a specific line is dependent upon line design,temperature,tension,exposure to windflow and vibration history on similar constraction in the same area.the following recommendations may be used as a general guide.
100-300m,2 per span(one on each side of support point)
300-600m,4 per span(two on each side of support point)
600-900m,6 per span(three on each side of support point)
900-1200m,8 per span(four on each side of support point)
The Stockbridge Vibration Damper must be positioned at a given location from the end of the span.This location will be calculated by HOPE from conductor and cable parameters.
