This vertical ribbon blender features a wide-bottom, narrow-top conical chamber profile, driven by a top-mounted motor and gear reducer that rotates an internal dual-ribbon agitator. The entire vessel can be fabricated from SS304, SS316L, or customer-specified alloys, with polished interior surfaces and smooth, crevice-free welds — eliminating material hang-up and cross-contamination risks. It is fully qualified for GMP-compliant food and pharmaceutical production environments.

Mixing Mechanism

The agitator assembly consists of two ribbon sets: an outer lifting ribbon and an inner pressing ribbon. During operation, the outer ribbon propels material upward along the chamber wall in a spiral path, while the inner ribbon simultaneously drives the central mass downward. This creates a dual cross-flow — forced upward movement at the periphery and gravity-assisted downward flow through the core — resulting in a full three-dimensional circulation pattern. Powders and granules of varying densities and particle sizes achieve exceptional uniformity within 2 to 3 minutes, with virtually no mechanical shear damage to the product.
