Most felt doctor blades come with the shrinking machine has a clamp holding a piece of felt. It is good when it is new and has the strength to withhold the water to form a trough for cooling the surface of rubber belt. But after the felt has some service time, it will become soft and loose the strength to support the water. The water spray will then spray directly onto the surface of rubber belt. This will reduce the cooling efficiency and in some cases could damage the belt.

Our special designed felt doctor blade offers extra strength and with a plastic tubing to extend the whole width of the blade to give support for the water trough to form. The plastic tube give extra support lengthwise of the blade even after working for a long time.
