Application
Used in places where there is a risk of fire, such as hotels, hospitals, shopping centers, power plants, information technology centers, and places where people are transported by rail systems and valuable equipment is stored. These cables do not conduct flames during fire, do not produce high smoke concentrations, and do not create a corrosive environment, so they can provide better protection. Can be used internally, externally or underground without mechanical stress.
Compared with PVC insulated cables, XLPE insulated cables have the following advantages:
Technical advantages:
The rated current is higher and the short-circuit rating is higher. It is 1.2 times that of PVC.
Thermoset.
The insulation resistance is 1000 times higher than that of PVC cables.
Higher moisture resistance.
Better resistance to surge current.
Low dielectric loss.
Better chemical resistance.
Longer service life.
Relatively high cable operating temperature of 90°C and short circuit temperature of 250°C
Business advantages:
Due to the small diameter of the cable and the heavier weight*, the laying cost is reduced.
Lower installation costs, because the diameter of the cable is relatively small and the bending radius is small, so the space required for laying the cable is small.
**Compared with PVC insulated cables, a smaller cable can be used.
