What are the functions of the three-roll mill for silicone rubber?

The production of liquid silicone rubber mainly goes through the kneading and mixing process of silicone polymer and filler. The kneading and mixing operation is not only the simple mixing of the materials, but also the extrusion and shearing of the materials during the kneading process, which actually promotes the penetration of fillers and polymers. Reinforcement can only be achieved if the filler is uniformly dispersed in the polymer. During the kneading process, the high-consistency material has strong shearing effect and high mixing efficiency. When the liquid silicone rubber is thinned through a three-roll mill, it is necessary to control the appropriate roller distance to ensure the shearing and kneading effect and avoid cutting the silicone polymer chain.
