End Strain Screw-In Insulator INS018 24.4g Stainless Steel Ear Electric Fence Insulators For Corner Post

Product Overview

The INS018 end strain screw-in insulator anchors electrified wire at the corner or end of a fence line. A stainless steel ear sits on top of the galvanized steel screw, so poly wire, poly rope and high tensile wire stay aligned while tension is applied. The impact-resistant plastic body keeps its shape through repeated strain and livestock contact, making this a dependable fitting for permanent pasture fencing.

Key Features

• Stainless steel ear on top guides the conductor and reduces chafing at terminal posts
• Galvanized steel screw with an easy-start thread grips timber posts firmly
• Impact-resistant plastic housing resists UV, frost and livestock rubbing
• Weighs only 24.4 g, adding minimal load to corner and end assemblies
• Available in black (INS018B) and yellow (INS018Y) for high-visibility fencing
• Color, packaging and material can be produced to order

Where To Use

This screw-in insulator suits corner posts, end posts and gate anchors on cattle, sheep and horse fencing. It works with temporary conductors such as polywire and poly rope as well as permanent galvanized or high tensile wire, and it is a common choice where a neat, load-bearing termination is needed.

Installation Tips

Pre-drill if the timber is hard, then screw the galvanized shaft into the post until the ear is level with the wire run. Thread the conductor through the ear and tie off with a proper strain knot. Inspect the ear for wear each season and replace the fitting if the plastic shows cracks.
