Welding systems

The welding systems for resistance welding are currently divided into four main categories.

One, single-phase AC resistance welding machine: this welding machine is currently the most common, using a single-phase AC control system and transformer, can be suitable for most of the mild steel type welding needs. However, with the current national control of the industrial electricity capacity, when welding workpieces with large plate thicknesses, it causes a huge burden and impact on the power grid. The other three welding methods have emerged to solve this problem.

Second, the medium frequency inverter welding machine: this is the most advanced resistance welding technology, it is rectified by the transformer, by the electrode output DC power, can maximize the power factor, to ensure the quality of welding, and can save thirty percent (compared with single-phase AC). And this kind of welding machine in welding some special materials, such as aluminum, aluminum alloy, galvanized plate, etc., welding effect is excellent.

Three secondary rectifier welders: these welders are mainly used for spot convex welding, the main feature is that they can achieve high power welding, but the impact on the power grid is small. Nowadays, it is also used for resistance welding of flash butt welding and seam welding.

Four, AC frequency conversion welding system: this type of welding machine is mainly used for seam welding, the main feature is to maintain the three-phase balance, the impact on the power grid is small, and also has the advantages of energy saving, high power factor.
