Key Properties
This non-toxic, odorless white powder is manufactured through chlorination reaction of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), resulting in an elastic polymer material with exceptional performance characteristics.
Material Characteristics
The chlorination process replaces hydrogen atoms with chlorine atoms, disrupting HDPE crystallization and creating a soft, rubber-like material. The presence of chlorine atoms makes CPE a polar polymer, enhancing compatibility with PVC and other materials.
Applications
CPE is available in two series: thermoplastic resin and elastomer rubber formulations, providing versatile application options across multiple industries.
Thermoplastic Applications
Can be used independently or blended with PVC, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), ABS, or polyurethane (PU) to enhance material properties.
Elastomer Applications
Combines rubber elasticity with plastic-like resistance to oil, chemicals, heat, cold, and flame. Suitable for standalone rubber applications or blending with EPDM, LIR, NBR, or CSM.
