OB-1 optical brightener is recommended for increasing whiteness in:
- Polyester and polyamide (nylon) fibers
- High-temperature engineering plastics including polycarbonates, polyesters, and polyamides
- Styrenic and acrylic polymers
- PVC applications
Due to the high melting point (359℃), ensure complete dispersion when using OB-1 in polymers processed at lower temperatures such as styrenics and acrylics. Higher loading levels are required when used in combination with UV absorbers.
