What can cuttings boxing do

Cuttings skips are also referred to as Cuttings Bins / Small and Large Drill Cuttings Boxes (SDCB or LDCB). It is mostly used in the offshore platforms for drilling waste management. However, present, more and more users in onshore platforms use such boxes to handle waste mud or fluids for the concentration process.

For offshore platforms, cutting skip mainly handles waste drilling fluid or the drilled cuttings to the onshore. They can be stacked one by one occupies less space or area on ship or drilling site. They are used to collect and transfer the materials in a safe and effective way

The working principle of mud skips.

Mud skips are usually put close to the solids control part. So we can move the skips easily to load the drilled cuttings. When one skip is filled full of the material, the next skip will be moved in place to fill in. When a certain number of skips are full, they will be processed together. And when we use the mud skips at the onshore drilling site, the full container will be delivered to a waste management center. And then empty all of the boxes to ship them offshore or deliver to the drilling site again for another shuttle.

Accordance with DNV 2.7-1 / EN12079, cuttings skip from aipu solids control are suitable for drill cuttings, discarded mud, and drilling fluids. A good seal on the whole skips and the covers. The covers can be locked very tight and steady to avoid loose or leakage. The strength is sufficient. According to executive code, we'll test the cutting boxes by dropping them down to the ground after lifting them up to 3ft or higher. This will help to check the hardness. There won't be any deformation, leakage.
