Spiral Separator Desanders For Drilling Mud, HDD, Mining And Water-Well
A desander just like a desilter is a part of solid control equipment on drilling facilities. It is a hydrocylone whose primary function is to remove sand particles which have a grain size of 50 to 70 microns. The installation position of desander is on the top of the mud tank following the shale shaker and the degasser but before desilter. All solids that are not removed by a shale shaker are removed by the desander. Desanders do not have any moving parts hence the removal of sand and silt from the drilling fluid is done by the centrifugal force on the desander.
Desander and desilter are important equipment for drilling liquid-solid control. It is mainly used for the second phase purification of drilling liquid. It removes nocuous solid, stabilizes drilling liquid properties, and improves drilling efficiency. The hydrodynamic cyclone of the desander is made of wear-resistant cast iron. It is reliable, effective, and serves long. The content of sand after the desander is controlled below 0.15%. Built on API RP 13C, with the certificate of authority to use the official API monogram.
