Under the action of gravity, solid particles along the inner wall submerge spirally and are deboarded from the bottom of cyclone then falls on the following shale shaker, the liquid was discharged from the top of the cyclone.

It removes nocuous solid, stabilizes drilling liquid properties, and improves drilling efficiency. The hydrodynamic cyclone of the desander is made of wear-resistant cast iron. The difference among mud cleaner, desander, and desilter
Drilling mud cleaner is also called Desander and Desilter assembly, which is the combination of desander, desilter and an underflow screen. Namely, mud cleaners consist of a two-stage separation process using a combination of hydrocyclones mounted over a shale shaker to operate as a single unit. Designed to handle the entire circulating volume, Drilling cuttings cleaners are effective on both weighted and unweighted drilling-fluid systems in removing and drying solids while retaining the expensive liquid.
