Centrifugal pump is worked as the feeding pump to drilling mud cleaner, drilling mud desander, drilling mud desilter, as well as an important part of jet mud mixer. How centrifugal pump works
Applying classical mechanics theory, assuming viscosity of the liquid equal 0 and no energy loss for the work of energy transferring from the impeller to the streamlines which means that, all separate flow will be uniforms (this approximation of physical reality to get the simpler as solid-state mechanism than a hydraulic mechanism
General explanation: Like most pumps, centrifugal pumps convert rotational energy, often from a motor, to energy in a moving fluid. A portion of the energy goes into the kinetic energy of the fluid. Fluid enters axially through the eye of the casing, is caught up in the impeller blades, and is whirled tangentially and radially outward until it leaves through all circumferential parts of the impeller into the diffuser part of the casing. The fluid gains both velocity and pressure while passing through the impeller. The doughnut-shaped diffuser, or scroll, a section of the casing decelerates the flow and further increases the pressure
In the drilling fluid solids control system, centrifugal pumps are used as a transfer pump. Mainly pump drilling fluid to desander hydrocyclone, desilter hydrocyclone. They also are combined with mud hopper to be jet mud mixer or mud mixing pump. Pumps work as power transition tools.

Selection of centrifugal pump:
First, determine how much capacity the centrifugal sand pump is, or need the capacity which is equipped with a centrifugal pump. Generally, choose centrifugal pump capacity should be a little larger than the matched equipment. There is a valve in the centrifugal pump outlet to regulate the flow required.
Ensure how much lift do centrifugal pump need. Choose a big lift centrifugal pump, because the loss of pipeline is very large.
If centrifugal pumps supply mud to the desander and desilter, then choose the larger capacity centrifugal pump. Because the desander and desilter require very strict and keen for the pressure. If the choice of centrifugal pump capacity is small to supply the desander and desilter, the pressure is insufficient, thus affecting the desander and desilter working effect.
