Introduction
Pressure-regulating valve is safety equipment of the hydropower station with long pressure diversion penstock. For a power station with a long pressure diversion system, it is impossible to select a suitable guide vane shutdown time so that the pressure rise ζ of the pressure diversion system and the rate rise β of the unit are within the allowable range. It integrates detection, control, and execution of many functions in one valve, and becomes an independent instrument control system. In order to ensure the stability of the unit transition process, the method of setting up surge tank (tower) is often adopted. It is possible to adopt this method for power stations with good geological conditions. But for the high water head power station with poor geological conditions, it has not only a big investment and long construction cycle but also technical difficulty. 
 

Application
The basic operation of the full oil pressure control TFW type regulating valve is: quick opening,slow-closing; when the small load changes, the pressure regulating valve does not operate; when the high load shedding, the pressure regulating valves opened, and the guide vanes will be closed. When the load is increased, the pressure regulating valve does not work.
