Material Description:
Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) is a nickel-iron-chrome austenitic alloy with added molybdenum, copper, and titanium. Special corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing environments.
Chromium and molybdenum can resist chloride pitting and various oxidizing environments. Adding titanium makes the material more stable during welding and less susceptible to sensitization. This non-sensitization property makes the material resistant to intergranular corrosion even when exposed to the susceptibility temperature range.
Incoloy 825 (UNS N08825) has good corrosion resistance to various processing environments, including sulfuric acid, sulfurous acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, organic acids and alkalis such as sodium, potassium hydroxide, acid chloride, etc.
